doomsday....no la...domes day

oK!! this is our second assignment for RAG132...

we are required to build domes which is geodesic dome...

firstly i think it is impossible for us to build this domes....

but i'm totally wrong...

with the support from all my team members,

finally.....

we could accomplish our mission to build

this geodesic dome although

we have to face too many obstacles...

Alhamdulillah.....

this is the results.....

domes project

intention..in malay we called it niat

while in arabic,it is known as nawaittu

our intention :

ivory victory...(such a uniQue name i think)

it is created by me....

as you know,ivory is one of the tallest building

nearer to our main campus...

it is located beside the Desasiswa RST...we take it as

the inspiration of our group because

we think that this building has its own quality

to be the symbol of victory

besides the group's name,we also

have our own motto.....

"command & conquer"

command mean

we try to manure the leadership potential

in each of our group members

conquer means

we try our best to construct

the best dome among the best

that's it.....

this is our group name....

RULES

1. Team members
- at least one from different major
- two of our group members are major in interior design while the other three are from

urban & regional planning
2. Zero cost
-in this project we try to achieve zero cost by using some methods

such as try to get the recyclable
things like newspaper and bamboo.

We also have to borrow some tools like saw and knife from our
seniors to complete this assignment.
3. Packaged– size of geodesic dome (2V)
4. Prefabricated
5. Accommodate 5 people in group
-this dome can easily fit 5 average-sized people
6. Carry able by 3 people
7. Team members only
- only the team members of this group are involved in the completion of this task.
8. Assembled in 30 minute
- we have to construct this dome in 30 minutes between 11.30am to 12.00 noon.

11. Lifespan – our assumption on the lifespan of this dome is about one month.
12. Materials must be recyclable
-almost all the materials that we used to construct this dome

can be recyclable such as newspaper, bamboo,
and ropes.

Production Model


The built environment is built, produced. We therefore need a way to look at its production, perhaps generally first, the model of production. Production must consist of six elements INTENTION, ACT, PRODUCT, ACTOR, RULE and SITE.

INTENTION....
In other word,niat...
According to the "Kamus Dewan Bahasa edisi ke-3,
niat means maksud atau tujuan sesuatu perbuatan.
Example : 1. mematikan orang sakit dgn
niat hendak menamatkan
penderitaannya ialah suatu kesalahan;
2. ingatan (dlm hati): niat kita hendak ke Kampar;
(kehendak) hati
3. janji (dlm hati) utk melakukan sesuatu
jika terkabul sesuatu yg dihajati, kaul, nazar;
melepas niat membayar nazar

ACTOR
In other word,aktor...
According to the "Kamus Dewan Bahasa edisi ke-3"
aktor means 1. pelakon lelaki yg membintangi
sesuatu filem (televisyen, radio).For example, the great movie below.
I'm sure that all of you is quite familiar with this movie.
The actors are Sharifah Amani as Orked and
Ng Choo Seong as Jason..
They are really marvelous....
This film is such a hit.
It tells a tale of a love that blooms between
a Chinese boy and Malay girl...

1. gaya (cara) membuat sesuatu, perbuatan, tabiat: begini lakumu di belakangku;
2. boleh digunakan (spt wang dll), sah: wang yg tidak bernombor tidak akan laku
3. (suka) dibeli orang, terjual: kuih jualannya laku;
batik buatan Malaysia sangat laku dalam kalangan pelancong

RULE

According to the "Kamus Dewan Bahasa edisi ke-3, aturan means
1. cara mengatur, susunan: aturan buku dlm perpustakaan ini, menurut cara Dewey
2. segala yg telah ditentukan atau ditetapkan utk diturut, peraturan:
membuat sesuatu itu biarlah menurut aturannya
3. adat sopan santun, ketertiban; tidak tahu aturan tidak tahu adat

PRODUCT

1. sesuatu yg diperoleh drpd sesuatu usaha, tanah, tanam-tanaman dll; pendapatan; perolehan: Getah dan bijih timah ialah hasil utama negara kita. 2. bayaran yg dikenakan oleh kerajaan atas barang-barang yg dibawa masuk ke dlm negeri, tanah, perniagaan dll; cukai; pajak: hasil negeri dipungut dgn berbagai-bagai cara.

In other word, TAPAK...
According to the "Kamus Dewan Bahasa edisi ke-3, tapak means
1. bidang kaki (kasut, tangan) sebelah bawah, telapak 2. tapak kaki bekas kaki, jejak kaki 3. langkah: belum lagi beberapa tapak

this is what i learn from the

second lecture with En Wan...

to start something,we must

have the right intention.

After that,we should earn

some knowledge so that

we could identify whether what

we did in our job is right or wrong....

For example,in built environment for sure,

the most important thing is how we try to develop

places with concern of the quality of our environment...

in whatever we did,always remember !!

the priority always with the environment

scale in the built environment starts from small to the big scale which is from object (nano scale) until global (environment scale)

there are 7 scale in built environment that are related with many field : 1)object...2)interior....3)building...4)premise....5)urban....6)regional...7)global

Convocation is one of the annual activity for Universiti Sains Malaysia which had been organized by the students.One of the organization involved in this activity is Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar USM.Annually, this greatest event will be held around July until August.The main purpose for this even is to celebrate our Universiti Sains Malaysia graduates.

Actually,there are two main objectives of this activity that i think is very crucial for the student's development.

1- this activity let the students use their creativity on how to organize the big programme like this.

2- it is one of the efforts to realize the mission to our university to become a 'Healthy Campus'

For your information, the theme for this annual event for this year is 'Mahasiswa Pemangkin Kelestarian Masa Hadapan'

this two pictures below show the main attraction of the convocation this year....one is the horse and the other one is the playground.....for those parents who want the safest place for their children,they should try this one....actually not themselves...but their children...

intention: to take the pictures of the event held during the convocation...below are some of the pictures taken....try to understand it....there are some ideas that i try to show in each of the picture

look!! the actors involved includes all the people who were attending the convocation to celebrate together the most important day especially among the graduates
